Exhibition Foreword

Kettal Fabrica de Cerveza is bringing you an art exhibition from two well known artists, Karl James Ullger and Chris-Anne Alcantara. The exhibition offers a taster of the work that has been produced in 2010 and is leading towards two major exhibitions in the summer and winter of 2011.

The words ‘Passion’ and ‘life’ are mimicked and  transparent throughout the artists’ work. There is an organic connection between those themes within the artworks, techniques and style used. The artworks tell their own stories: They take the shape of a monologue from the artists, who constantly aesthetically talk about the images from our visual culture. To a certain extent, some of the artworks are like mild whisperings from our society; whether it is the protective mother holding her baby or the old man down the street tying his shoelaces. Each and every painting has a life of its own.

After receiving several renowned art prizes throughout the years and their recent success at the 37th Gibraltar International Art exhibition with their joint art collaboration, the artists confirm an ever shifting and soaring range of creativity throughout this ‘taster’ art expose.
